The Full Story
My name is Rachel, and I created Music Lessons Eugene. We are a collective of instructors who provide in-home music instruction all over Lane County. Most of our students are young learners between the age of 4-14. We are proud to share that in the past year, we have helped over 100 people start or rekindle their relationship with music.
We currently offer in-home lessons where we travel from student to student. Some are local, but we also accept students as far as 50 miles away. It allows us to expand our reach to musically-inclined kids and families who live further from town, and keep music alive in remote areas where opportunities can sometimes be harder to access. This will always be part of our mission.
Our fundraising, however, will help us achieve other priorities and hopes for the future. We are opening a non-profit organization, and expanding on many fronts. We understand that having a central location would be key. All of our great ideas could be offerings if we had the space to call home. We are asking for community support while we raise funds for a great public studio location!!
This is a huge undertaking, but we are determined to find and afford a great location to foster all of our ambitions. We hope to cultivate a community space that invites all types of learners, where students are taken seriously yet encouraged to do what THEY want with music... where magic happens.
It is well-known that music education has lasting, diverse benefits. A donation to our fundraiser is an investment in our community members who deserve access to meaningful opportunities like those we provide.
Thank you so much for reading our story and for your consideration. We appreciate your help, as we work tirelessly to raise our goal of $5,000 of community support towards a studio location. Any little bit gets us closer!!
